Electricity Theory                          *  James Road (Street) 16,   Fairleads,   Benoni.        Tel: 011-969-3301,   Fax: 086-545-6004,  Cell: 082-264-4180  *   Bi-Comm Radios > Tech Info > Electricity Theory ELECTRICITY - WHERE DOES IT GO AFTER IT LEAVES THE TOASTER?  - by ZR2ABT Lets start off with a simple experiment that will teach you an important electrical lesson. On a cool, dry day, scuff your feet withal a carpet, then reach your hand into a friend’s mouth and touch one of his dental fillings. Did you notice your friend twitched violently and cried out in pain? This teaches us that electricity can be a very powerful force, and we must never use it to hurt others. It moreover teaches us how an electrical spin works. When you scuffed your feet, you picked up a batch of  “electrons”, which are very small objects that carpet manufacturers weave into carpets so they can vamp dirt. The electrons travel through your bloodstream and collect in your finger, where they form a spark that leaps to your friends filling, then travels lanugo to his feet and when into the carpet, thus completing the circuit. AN AMAZING ELECTRONIC FACT! If you scuffled your feet long unbearable without touching anything, you would build up so many electrons that your finger would explode. But this is nothing to worry about, unless you do not have carpeting-Hi. Although we modern people tend to take our electric lights, Radios, Mixers, Power Supplies etc. for granted, hundreds of years ago people did not have any of these things, which is just as well considering there were no place to plug them in. Then withal came the first electrical pioneer, Benjamin Franklin, who flew a kite in lightning storm and received a serious electrical shock. This proved that lightning was powered by the same forces as carpets does, but it moreover damaged Franklin’s smart-ass so severely that he started speaking only in incomprehensible maxims, such as, “A penny saved is a penny earned.” Eventually he had to be given a job running the Post Office. After Franklin, came a herd of electrical pioneers whose names have wilt part of our electrical terminology: Martin Volt, Sharon Amp, Seween Watt, Paul Transformer, Bernadine Ohm, Garth Rectifier, etc. These pioneers conducted many important electrical experiments. For example, in 1780, Luigi Galvani discovered (this is the truth) that when he tying two variegated kinds metals to the leg of a frog an electrical current ripened and the frog’s leg kicked, plane though it was no longer unquestionably unfluctuating to the frog, which was sufferer anyway. Galvani’s discovery led to enormous advances in the field of oceanic medicine. Today, skilled veterinary surgeons can take a frog that has been seriously injured or killed, implant pieces of metal in its muscles, and watch it hop when into the swimming just like any other normal frog, except for the fact that it sinks like a stone-Hi. But the greatest electrical pioneer of all was Thomas Edison, who was a sunny inventor despite the fact that he had a little formal education and lived in New Jersey. Edison’s first major invention in 1877, was the Phonograph, which could soon be found in thousands of American homes, where it basically sat until 1923, when the Record was invented. But Edison’s greatest victory came in 1879, when he invented the Electric Company. Edison’s diamond was a sunny version of the simple electric circuit: The ElectricVisitorgenerates electricity through a wire to a customer, then immediately gets the electricity when through flipside wire, then (this is the sunny part) sends it right when to the consumer again. This ways that an ElectricVisitor( ESKOM ) can sell a consumer the same path of electricity thousands of times a day and never get caught, since very few customers take the time to examine their electricity closely. In fact, the last year in which any new electricity was generated in South Africa was 1937. The electric visitor have been merely reselling it overly since, which is why they have so much self-ruling time to wield for rate increases-Hi. Today, thanks to men like Edison and Franklin, and frogs like Galvani’s, we receive scrutinizingly unlimited benefits from electricity. DID YOU KNOW that in the past decade, scientists have perfected the laser, an electronic utilization that emits a whizgigging of light so powerful that it can vaporize a Bulldozer 20,000 meters away, yet so precise that doctors can use it to perform soft-hued operations to the human eyeball...provided they remember to transpiration the power setting from ‘Vaporize Bulldozer’ to ‘Delicate’.   Greetings     * Home Products ◦  Alinco ◦  Antennae ◦  AnyTone ◦  Batteries & Chargers ◦  GME ◦  Icom ◦  Icom Land Mobile ◦  Icom Aircraft Radios ◦  Kenwood ◦  Kirisun ◦  Power Supplies ◦  Programming Cables ◦  QD Radios ◦  RTS Radios ◦  Vertex Standard ◦  Yaesu Used Radios Archives Electronic Components ◦  Potentiometer Tech Info ◦  Antenna SWR ◦  CW Abbreviations ◦  Electricity Theory ◦  Radio Frequencies ◦  Technical Resources ◦  Ten Codes Contact Us Meet the hairdo Site Map Privacy * Artikels ◦  Die Suidlanders
